So what is an Acanthus? The acanthus is a plant that has inspired artist and architects for millennia. It stands for quality, longevity and creativity. I thought that seemed to fit this bag well. The fabric is a high quality upholstery material with subtle greens, from a teal to a more sage color, with gold and beige highlights. I think the soft colors would work well for year round use.

I designed this to be a knitting bag, though it would serve equally well as a diaper bag or simply a large tote. This bag measures a whopping 17 1/2" wide and 11" tall. There are three very roomy pockets. Fully lined in a gold striped fabric. The sturdy strap measures 35" long. A complimentary pottery button holds the large flap closed.
